This work represents a collaborative effort between the Loewen Lab and Dr. Sammynaiken of the Saskatchewan Structural Sciences Center. The work encompasses a medley of techniques ranging from UV-Vis and electron paramagnetic spectroscopies, computational modelling, site directed mutagenesis and enzymatic assays that have been applied toward the characterization of an enzyme the is involved in the modulation of plant carotenoid molecules. The Lab Welcomes Corey and Youliian for the Summer!
We are pleased to welcome Mr. Corey Yu and Mr. Youliian Todorov, both of the University of Saskatchewan, to the lab for the summer. Corey will be working in collaboration with Dr. Olesya Kharenko and Dr. Sue Abrams on our NRC/GHI4-funded Abscisic Acid binding protein project. Youliian will working with Mr. Jason Boyd on our ongoing G-protein Coupled Receptor project funded by NSERC.
